Nathalia Padilla is a multimedia artist whose work explores the intersections of memory, identity, and cultural history. Born in Chicago and raised in a Colombian household, she draws from her bicultural background to reflect on the ways personal and collective histories are preserved, reimagined, and sometimes lost.

Her practice spans large-scale painting, photography, and mixed media, often guided by a documentary approach that transforms fleeting moments into layered visual narratives. Through these works, Padilla examines the fragility of recollection and its impact on how we understand ourselves and others.

She received her BFA in Digital Arts with minors in Social Media & E-Marketing Analytics and Art History from Florida International University, where she is now pursuing an MFA in Visual Arts. Her projects have been presented at venues including the Doral Contemporary Art Museum, marking her presence within Miami’s growing contemporary art landscape.

Expanding her practice beyond traditional media, Padilla is developing Human Input, a robotics-based project that explores the intersections of technology and mark-making. By collaborating with a robotic arm capable of emulating her gestures, she investigates how memory, authorship, and human presence can be translated into mechanical expression. This work reflects her broader interest in bridging fine art, storytelling, and emerging technologies to challenge the boundaries of materiality and creativity.
